another panel from baffling mysteries. this time from issue 18 published in 1953 from the story "12 hours to doom" art by Lou Cameron not sure who wrote it.
todays panels come from "Vengeance of the Tiger Queen" which appears in Baffling Mysteriesnumber 12. published in 1951 by Ace magazines. unfortunately they didn't give anyone any credits so maybe that's what the title baffling mysteries is refering to.
man this story had so many good panels in it it was hard to choose just one (so i posted two). you can see the whole story over here at the awesome the Horrors of it all blog.
this panel is from the devilishly good story "to beat the devil" which appears in dc comics Strange sports stories published in 1973. written by frank robbins. art by curt swan and Dick Giodarno.
this one is from EC comics tales from the crypt reprint i have. originally published in suspense stories #8 in 1951 from the story "out of the frying pan" drawn by Johnny Craig and written by william gaines and colors by Marie Severin
i scanned this panel in about a month ago and never posted it. and unfortunately i dont remember what comic it's from. i'll edit this post later if i can find the info.
the dollar bin will eventually be the blog of the podcast i hope to make which will review weird obscure small print comics that i've found in dollar bins at comic stores around the country. Thats not to say it will be limited to just that but will most likely include reviews of books and movies i like as well as other pop culture stuff.
